Is the battery integrated into the motor, or is it a separate module?
The Smart Mid-Mount Drive consists of four key components: Removable Propulsion Module; Removable LiFePO₄ Battery Module; Integrated 3-Button Foot-Control Base; Tool-Free Quick-Release Propeller.
The battery is not built into the motor. It is a separate removable LiFePO₄ battery module that connects to the propulsion system. This modular design allows for easy installation, charging, replacement, and transportation.

Do I need a trailer?
Ventral is designed to pack down for easy transport by car, without requiring a dedicated trailer. Vehicle fit depends on available cargo space.
Can I use it in salt water?
Yes. Ventral can be used in both freshwater and saltwater. See below for saltwater care instructions.
How do I care for my Ventral Fishing Board after saltwater use?
After each saltwater session, thoroughly rinse the board, Mid-Mount Base, Propulsion Module, and accessories with fresh water to remove salt residue.
Pay special attention to the underwater motor, propeller, shaft, and electrical connectors. If any electrical connectors are exposed to saltwater, rinse them thoroughly with fresh water to remove any salt deposits. For deeper cleaning, the underwater portion of the Propulsion Module can be soaked in fresh water for a few minutes. Avoid prolonged immersion in electrical connection areas.
Allow all components to dry completely before storage. Regular freshwater rinsing helps protect seals, electrical connections, and moving parts and maintains reliable long-term performance.

Ventral Fishing Board features a Smart Mid-Mount Drive designed to reduce weed tangles compared with traditional rear-mounted motors.
If weeds or debris become caught during operation, simply stop the motor and follow the recommended clearing procedure before continuing. The easy-access mid-mount design allows for quick inspection and cleaning without needing to reach around the rear of the board.
We recommend avoiding dense vegetation areas whenever possible to ensure optimal performance and protect the propulsion system.
